Pembaris, Termometer and Jam Randik

Pembaris Meter Metre Rule

  1. Pembaris meter mempunyai kepekaan dan kejituan 1mm.
  2. Langkah berjaga-jaga semasa menggunakan pembaris meter ialah 
    1. Memastilan objek yang diukur bersentuhan dengan pembaris. 
    2. Mengelakan ralat paraleks. 
    3. Mengelakan ralat sifar (Ralat hujung) 

English Notes:

A metre rule has sensitivity or accuracy accuracy of 1mm.

Precaution to be taken when using ruler
  1. Make sure that the object is in contact with the ruler.
  2. Avoid parallax error.
  3. Avoid zero error and end error.

Termometer Merkuri Mercury Thermometer


  1. Terdapat dua jenis termometer merkuri 
    1. Termometer dengan julat -10°C - 110°C di mana kepekaannya ialah 1°C. 
    2. Termometer dengan julat 0°C - 360°C di mana kepekaannya ialah 2°C. 
  2. Langkah berjaga-jaga semasa mengambil bacaan daripada sesuatu termometer 
    1. Memastikan suhu yang hendak diukur tidak melebihi julat suhu termometer. 
    2. Apabila mengukur suhu cecair 
      1. memastikan bebuli termometer terendam sepenuhnya di dalam cecair itu. 
      2. mengacau cecair tersebut supaya suhu cecair adalah seragam 
      3. tidak mengacau cecair dengan terlalu kuat sehingga memecahkan termometer.

There are 2 types of mercury thermometer
  1. Thermometers of range -10oC - 110oC with accuracy 1oC.
  2. Thermometers of range 0oC - 360oC with accuracy 2oC.
Precaution to be taken when using thermometer
  1. Make sure that the temperature measured does not exceed the measuring range.
  2. When measuring temperature of liquid
  • immerse the bulb fully in the liquid
  • stir the liquid so that the temperature in the liquid is uniform
  • do not stir the liquid vigorously to avoid breaking the thermometer

Jam Randik Stopwatch


  1. Terdapat dua jenis jam randik 
    1. jam randik analog yang mempunyai kepekaan 0. 1s atau 0.2s 
    2. jam randik digital yang mempunyai kepekaan 0.01s. 
  2. Kepekaan sesuatu jam randik adalah bergantung kepada masa tindak balas pengukur.

English Notes:

There are 2 types of stopwatches
  1. analogue stopwatches of sensitivity 0.1s or 0.2s
  2. digital stopwatches of sensitivity 0.01s.
The sensitivity of a stopwatch depends on the reaction time of the user.
